News...

I have a new job!!!!!!! Starting in a couple of weeks I shall be working for the opposition at the revamped Doncaster Westfield Shoppingtown... Not quite as many hours as I work now but I have a day off in the middle if the week... I can spend afternoons stitching!!!!!

L has had some very bad/ good news - unfortunately the tumour was much, much larger than even the surgeon anticipated and it was impossible to remove just at the moment.

However there is a Plan B with a optimistic outcome... L is a very strong lady and she see this current situation as a pain in the butt but not something she can't conquer... E remarked that even in crisis L's hair was was expertly done. E's memory as a child growing up that L's hair was always 'just perfect' - never a hair out of place - it was a constant fasination to E. Sitting up in a hospital bed (the same one as the infamous Sam Newman - no less!!!!) L was well groomed - this perhaps typifies L as a person 'always prepared'. We sat there and chatted - we caught up on all the gossip and generally giggled as friends do. E and I came away from our visit with more optimism than we had gone with. We can only hope and pray...

It interesting how one's perspective on life really serves into view with what's really important and what is just time wasting dribble...

Congratulations on the new job!!! Great news - especially about that day off during the week! Hope it coincides with one of mine so we can do some serious stitching!

Hi Sharon

I couldn't find an email address for you, so will reply here. The wool you were interested in is $5 per ball so a total of $20. As for postage, I suspect you and I live close-ish ...

My email is suseinthesoup@gmail.com if you want to take this further.

I'm sorry about your friend L.

Best,
Suse

Hi Sharon
Wishing your dear friend L all the very best. She sounds like a strong and gutsy woman, a great friend to have! Hoping all goes well for her and those who care about her.

Congrats on the new job - hooray, a day for play. (How lovely). Thanks for the recommendation of The Library Lion.. will have to chase this up!
