Ken gave me a gift voucher for a hot air balloon ride, for my 50th birthday. It was the ride that goes over the city, and was one of the most fabulous hours of my life. I'd love to do it again, but the price is a bit prohibitive for everyday joy flights!Gina E.https://www.blogger.com/profile/07532527261977368083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10668080.post-1136890376298452672006-01-10T21:52:00.000+11:002006-01-10T21:52:00.000+11:00This Sunday morning (I think it was) I was outside...This Sunday morning (I think it was) I was outside getting the newspaper. It was quite overcast, so I couldn't see much, but I heard that eerie long hhhrrruph sound that always takes me a while to identify. And then I saw the first of about 5 balloons appear through the cloud, quite close and large, and they kept appearing and disappearing in the mist. I'm glad others have the courage to do those kind of things.Valhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04456736523331076619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10668080.post-1136875970338601902006-01-10T17:52:00.000+11:002006-01-10T17:52:00.000+11:00The hot air balloons used to regularly drift over ...The hot air balloons used to regularly drift over our place in the winter months, and I used to live in hope that a flight would end up in our paddocks, but they never did!<BR/> The local Ostrich farmers took a dim view of their flocks being stampeded by the noise and now it's no more balloons...and funnily enough there are NO ostrich farms in the district either!Maureenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06564017428788443354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10668080.post-1136854191719407602006-01-10T11:49:00.000+11:002006-01-10T11:49:00.000+11:00I remember the first time I saw balloons in the sk...I remember the first time I saw balloons in the sky over Camberwell as I drove in to work one morning - it blew my mind!
