Just wish my kids would take some inspiration when it comes to cleaning - sigh. I haven't tried the Florentine Slice from the Woman's weekly - but I do have the book so I must go and have a look. I shall have to post my recipe for the fruit mince. Sooooo much nicer than the bought stuff I have been making it for years and it keeps so well.<BR/>Thank you for making my day - there is a HUGE smile on my face as I go off to convince the children they need to help me do some housework. Enjoy your baking.Calidorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07118238727781108509noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10668080.post-1134105110956948862005-12-09T16:11:00.000+11:002005-12-09T16:11:00.000+11:00Anne - they are still in the planning stages... LOLOLOL. Like you, I'm not a baker ... I tried making a couple of cakes in my youth - Dad called them "sad cakes" LOL ... he loved them, as they'd always sink in the middle, and he reckoned they had a great texture ... needless to say that's become a family joke, and I don't bake anymore! I tried baking a few things, which actually worked out OK for a change, when I was in Medway, but the boys never ate any of it just 'cos they're not 'cake people' - so I stopped. Probably a good thing, anyway, for the waistline ... mine's expanded enough as it is ;) Enjoy your Christmas baking - sounds lovely :))Anne Shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10690824664591296103noreply@blogger.com
